Fly Tying

 

  Our fly-tying classes are structured for beginners but can be a good way of brushing up on basic fly tying skills. We work on techniques starting out with some simple nymph patterns and then stepping into terrestrials, streamers, and wrap-up with some dry flies.

  Tools are provided at no cost. Material packages can be purchased at around $50. There is a general class fee of $95; $50 for youth. Additional family members can sign up for $70. Dates are set up for either weeknight or weekend classes. Once we have four people signed up we will firm up a class date.



  We also conduct a once a month, weekend fly tying session which is open to anyone. These tying sessions are referred to as "Ties and Lies."
